What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elder Law Attorney position at Dutton Casey & Mesoloras, P.C.?
Dutton Casey & Mesoloras P.C. seeks an Associate Attorney to join its growing Elder Law practice. Must be currently licensed to practice in Illinois and have a minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in probate. Specifically, the responsibilities include:
· Representing guardians in adult and minor guardianship proceedings;
· Representing executors in decedent’s estates;
· Representing fiduciaries under Powers of Attorney, revocable living trusts, and special needs trusts;
· Representing provider agencies in APS cases;
· Preparing and processing Medicaid applications, appeals and redeterminations;
· and,
· Drafting estate and Medicaid planning documents.
Qualifications:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work with clients one on one;
· Sharp analytical ability, attention to detail, and issue spotting;
· Well-developed time management and organizational skills;
· Accomplished courtroom, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
