Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Location: Logan, UT
Schedule: Full-Time| Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We are looking for a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to help ensure products move efficiently from production to our customers.
This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, preparing shipments, and supporting production flow within the plant.
Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing, verifying, packaging, and processing outgoing shipments as well as receiving incoming materials. This role works closely with production, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure finished goods are packaged and shipped accurately and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with a combination of computer work and physical warehouse activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process shipping documentation for parcel, LTL, full truckload, and international shipments
- Verify outgoing orders against work orders, packing lists, and bills of lading
- Package finished metal products to ensure safe and damage-free delivery
- Stage pallets and prepare shipments scheduled for pickup the following day
- Load and unload trailers while maintaining product quality and safety standards
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against purchase orders
- Maintain organization in the shipping and receiving areas
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate material tracking
- Use ERP and shipping systems to track shipments and inventory
- Work closely with production, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure orders are ready for shipment
- Assist with final assembly or other shop support tasks as needed
Equipment & Systems Used
- Forklifts and pallet jacks
- ERP system (such as Global Shop or similar manufacturing ERP)
- Shipping platforms including UPS, FedEx, and LTL carrier portals
- Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking and reporting
- Shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOL) and packing lists
Accuracy & Accountability
- Verify all outgoing shipments for correct part numbers, quantities, and documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and material locations
- Ensure shipments meet customer requirements and freight specifications
- Prevent shipping errors or product damage through proper packaging and verification
- Maintain organized staging areas to support efficient daily shipments
Qualifications
- Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or warehouse environments preferred
- Experience preparing shipping documentation and freight paperwork
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained
- Basic computer skills including ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the shift
