Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including the bakery kitchen, cafe, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are pristine and safe
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to uphold high standards of appearance
- Handle waste disposal by emptying trash bins and recycling containers regularly throughout the shift
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs as needed
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
- Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized custodial tasks when required
Skills
- Experience or willingness to learn cleaning or janitorial roles with use of commercial and residential cleaning techniques
- Knowledge or willingness to learn floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn proper use and care of custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and steam cleaners
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks over extended periods
- Basic maintenance skills including minor repairs or painting are a plus
