Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the right automotive parts and accessories to meet their vehicle needs.
- Provide expert guidance on automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures to help customers make informed decisions.
- Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, inventory management systems (such as CMMS), and accurate stock replenishment.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system while handling cash and credit payments with precision.
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent service, active listening, and personalized recommendations to promote repeat business.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely order fulfillment and seamless integration of parts into vehicle repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized parts department, ensuring all automotive parts are properly stocked, labeled, and stored according to safety standards.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting remote customers or scheduling appointments.
Experience
- Experience in automotive parts sales or retail environment, preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting customer relationships through exceptional service skills.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and troubleshooting techniques to assist customers effectively.
- Experience with automotive parts management, inventory control, and retail math is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently while maintaining a tidy work environment.
