Responsibilities

• Install and configure fiber optic cables, Ethernet wiring, and low voltage cabling systems according to industry standards and project specifications
• Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal signal transmission and minimal loss
• Set up and troubleshoot network equipment such as Cisco routers, switches, and telephony systems to establish seamless connectivity
• Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to run cables through walls, ceilings, and underground conduits safely and efficiently
• Conduct network installation assessments, including testing with ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices to verify system integrity
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to telecommunication systems, electrical connections, or cabling faults in the field
• Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, test results, and service reports for each project

Experience

• Proven field service experience as a telecommunications or cable technician with a strong understanding of telecommunication principles
• Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and network installation procedures
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, Ethernet standards, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring practices
• Knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical components related to cable installation projects
• Ability to operate testing tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical measurement devices accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues on-site
• Prior service technician experience in telecommunication or related fields is highly preferred. MUST HAVE OWN TRUCK, TOOLS, AND LADDER.

Pay: From $1,200.00 per week
