What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pain Psychologist position at Durham VA Health Care System?
This Staff Psychologist position is a full-time position with duties in the Behavioral Medicine Division, which is part of Mental and Behavioral Health Services (MBHS) within the Durham VA Health Care System (VAHCS). The incumbent has responsibilities of being a psychologist focused on both evidence-based psychotherapy and assessment in behavioral management of chronic pain, using individual, family, couples, and group therapy formats. The psychologist provides behavioral health assessments and interventions for the growing population of Veterans being seen in the Garner, NC area. The psychologist may also provide supervision to Psychology practicum students, interns, and/or postdoctoral fellows who are completing training rotations in Behavioral Medicine. The Durham VAMC has both an APA-accredited Psychology Internship and Fellowship program.
Tour of Duty: Monday - Friday (7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm) with Ad Hoc Telework
