We are seeking an experienced Corporate Development Associate or Manager to support all aspects of the M&A lifecycle, including strategy development, target screening, pipeline administration, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, deal negotiation, and post-merger integration. The role will collaborate closely with senior executives, functional leaders, investors, internal stakeholders, and external advisors, with opportunities to take on increasing leadership responsibilities.
This role reports to the Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions and will work a hybrid schedule from our Warrenville, IL office.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Support development of growth strategies; partner with key internal leaders to develop investment theses to enable target pipeline growth.
- Drive strategic and financial analysis of potential targets. Develop materials to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Lead valuation and financial modeling analyses including discounted cash flow, accretion/dilution impacts, comparable/precedent transactions, investment return calculations.
- Support due diligence processes by coordinating cross-functional teams, engaging with target company personnel and external advisors, identifying key diligence findings, and assessing deal implications.
- Support all aspects of deal execution, including preparation of presentation materials, negotiation support, transaction documentation, and closing. Take ownership of selected areas of responsibility within transactions.
- Contribute to pre-merger integration planning and post-merger execution to ensure the realization of deal rationale, value drivers, and synergies.
The pay range is $140,000-$160,000 annually.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 1–3 years (Associate) or 4-6 years (Manager) of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, management consulting, or corporate finance
- Experience building M&A financial models and business case development
- Industry exposure to transportation, logistics, or business services
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, external partners, and advisors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Additional certifications are considered a plus
- Travel requirement of up to 10% as needed
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
