What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Program Leader position at Durham Recreation and Park District?
Must be available on week days 11:00-6:00.
Ages: TK, Kinder-2nd grade or 3rd-8th grade
Times: 11:00p-3:00 or 11:00-6:00p (Monday's 11:00-6:00p)
Under the direct supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, and if necessary the Recreation Coordinator oversees children in the all District programs related to childcare. This includes daily programming and special events including camps and programs that are scheduled throughout the year.
Employee is responsible to maintain positive relationships with DRPD staff, children, parents and the general public. Other responsibilities include the safety and cleanliness of park facilities and equipment related to childcare programming.
Finally, in conjunction with Recreation Supervisor and other staff, plans and implements special events and recreation activities including new games, sports, and crafts.
This position is a part-time regular position. Hours are flexible and variable depending on the season
