What are the responsibilities and job description for the (1) Instructional Assistant (IA)/Paraprofessional at Durham Nockamixon position at Durham Nockamixon Elementary?
(1) Instructional Assistant (IA)/Paraprofessional: part-time, 10 months, 6 hrs/day, starting as soon as possible at the Durham Nockamixon Elementary School. The successful candidate will support students in the classroom, both in individual and small group settings, as directed by the teacher or supervisor. The ability to work calmly with student(s) exhibiting behavioral and academic challenges and have the ability to follow the direction of professional staff is needed. Although not required, those with a teaching certification are encouraged to apply.
Hourly rate is $23.90/hr, after a successful probationary period, as per the PESPA contract, no health benefits with this position.
Applicants must have strong technology skills, be highly qualified as defined by federal standards, which require either two completed years of study at an institution of higher education, an associate’s (or higher) degree, or PDE Highly Qualified certification.
