About Us
Durham Heating & Cooling is a locally owned, second-generation HVAC company that has served Hopkinsville and the surrounding area since 1975. We perform residential and commercial HVAC installation, replacement, service, and maintenance.
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Installer to join our team. We want someone who takes pride in doing the job correctly, works well with others, and can be trusted to represent our company professionally on the job site.
Responsibilities
- Install residential and commercial heating and cooling equipment
- Perform equipment change-outs and new HVAC installations
- Install ductwork, refrigerant piping, drains, venting, electrical connections, thermostats, and related HVAC components
- Start up and test newly installed equipment
- Follow manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and company installation standards
- Read and understand plans, equipment specifications, and installation instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Protect customers' homes and property during installation
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Complete required job documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, contractors, and supervisors
- Follow company safety procedures and job-site requirements
Qualifications
- Previous HVAC installation experience required
- Kentucky HVAC Journeyman License preferred
- Strong mechanical ability and understanding of HVAC installation practices
- Ability to braze refrigerant piping and perform proper evacuation and system startup
- Ability to use HVAC installation and testing tools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of an installation team
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of HVAC installation work, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to work
- Professional attitude and attention to workmanship
Pay
Competitive hourly pay based on experience, licensing, and demonstrated ability.
Overtime eligible.

Schedule
Monday-Friday
Regular work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with additional hours as job requirements dictate.
