What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Durham Academy?
Durham Academy, a PK-12 independent day school in Durham, NC, is seeking a passionate, hard working and eager individual to join the athletics department as an administrative assistant. This is a full-time 12-month position with benefits with a start date of July 1, 2025. Typical hours will be Monday - Friday from 9 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m. with occasional weeknight and weekend event coverage required.
In keeping with the mission of the school - to prepare each student to live a moral, happy and productive life - this position will support the experience and development of student-athletes. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and will work closely with three assistant athletic directors, two athletics interns, coaches and student-athletes.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Athletics and coaching staff
Serve as the first point of contact from the athletic department for coaches, parents, and peer schools
Schedule all athletics travel to include assigning busses and drivers
