The Role
Under the supervision of the Application Engineering Manager, the Estimator will verify costs and routers to ensure accuracy, allowing for competitive pricing for key accounts.
You will work with Application Engineering to create bills of materials and determine router stations and times for each design. The Estimator position is vital in ensuring cost accuracy of custom heaters and components across the various product segments within the Durex portfolio.

Your Responsibilities
- Analyze all elements involved in the production of and completion of customer products.
- Create estimates for Bills of Materials, Routing, and additional costs such as outside services.
- Provide estimates to Application Engineering for their review.
- Analyze existing part costing per Bills of Materials and Routing information in Microsoft Great Plains (GP).
- Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Understands and shows commitment to the Quality Policy.
- Complete projects and/or tasks on time.
- Meet defined and measurable goals.
- All job operations conform to ISO 9001: 2000 standards and procedures.
- Conform to all company standards and policies defined in the employee handbook.
- Initiate and implement process improvement and/or cost reduction activities.
- Knowledge of materials and production processes and their related costs.
- Knowledge and skill in the use of computers.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills to sort out facts and information and to evaluate how that information should be used to assist in meeting both customer needs and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate work to all levels within the organization.
- Ability to prepare financial cost estimates through use of data processing equipment and such programs as Excel, Great Plains, etc.
- Associate degree or equivalent in experience
- Use of data processing equipment.
