- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Drivers License is required
- Be able to work the assigned shift.
- Assume responsibility for all custodial duties in the buildings and on the grounds
- Practical experience in grounds care, housekeeping, sanitation and general maintenance
- Be able to work with students, staff and the general public on a daily basis
- Physical demands: extensive standing, walking, stooping, bending, and crouching
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds
- Perform and maintain housekeeping throughout buildings and grounds to ensure high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance
- Move heavy equipment and furniture, perform groundskeeping work and snow removal as assigned
- Perform preventative and minor maintenance
- Coordinate with school facilities for public use and activities
- EXPERIENCE:** Experience in custodial and/or building trades preferred.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:** Valid Colorado driver's license required for some positions. Safety and asbestos training required within 3 months after entering position. Criminal Background Check required for hire.
- Basic problem solving skills.
- Ability to acquire skills necessary to operate various types of cleaning equipment and snow removal equipment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changes without notice.
- Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies, and building/department procedures.

- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
- Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as copier, fax machine, E-mail, etc.
- Operating knowledge of basic custodial equipment preferred at hire; required within 3 months after entering position
