Front Desk Sales and Guest Experience Specialist

This is a front desk position with real revenue responsibility.
Durango Rivertrippers is hiring a confident, sales driven professional to lead the guest experience from first contact through check in. This role is ideal for someone who loves sales, enjoys face to face interaction, and takes pride in running a tight, organized front desk.
You will help guests plan their vacations, close bookings, check in trips, sell retail, and maintain a clean, professional environment. This is not a passive customer service job. We expect energy, accountability, and performance.
Season Details
April through September
Part time and full time available
6 to 9 hour shifts
Weekend shifts rotate
We operate seven days per week
Sales Expectations
You will work toward daily, weekly, and bi weekly sales targets.
You will be expected to convert phone calls, walk ins, and online inquiries into reservations.
You will confidently recommend rafting trips, Jeep tours, and package combinations.
You will upsell retail and add on experiences when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Own your individual sales goals and contribute to team revenue targets
- Check in guests efficiently and professionally
- Plan and coordinate guest vacations and adventure itineraries
- Answer phones, respond to live chats, and handle email inquiries
- Process reservations and manage booking systems accurately
- Sell retail merchandise at the front desk
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment
- Communicate clearly with guides and operations staff
- Solve problems quickly and professionally
- Represent the brand with confidence and professionalism

- Loves sales and enjoys hitting measurable goals
- Is confident speaking with guests in person and on the phone
- Can manage multiple tasks during peak season
- Takes ownership of the front desk environment
- Is reliable, punctual, and detail oriented
- Thrives in a fast paced tourism setting
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of sales or hospitality experience
- Strong computer navigation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive
- Ability to learn booking software quickly
