Position Overview
The Personal Trainer is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and engaging one-on-one and small-group training sessions, supporting member retention, and contributing to a positive club culture. This role requires prior hands-on training experience and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead personalized training programs based on client goals, fitness levels, and health history
- Provide safe, effective, and results-driven personal training sessions
- Conduct fitness assessments and track client progress
- Educate clients on proper exercise technique, injury prevention, and overall wellness
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
- Collaborate with front desk staff and management to support member engagement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment
- Uphold all club policies, safety standards, and professional ethics
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of personal training experience required
- Current nationally recognized personal training certification (ACE, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, or equivalent)
- CPR/AED certification
- Strong communication, motivation, and coaching skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a client schedule
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with diverse populations (beginners, athletes, older adults, injury-aware training, etc.)
- Small group or specialty training experience
- Familiarity with fitness software or member management systems
