What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Durango Dermatology?
Busy dermatology office with a kind and collaborative work environment and a fantastic team, looking for an experienced Medical Assistant for a full time (36 hours/week) position. Certification not necessary, hands on training provided. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare patients for examination and record patients' health history
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
- Assist providers with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
- Performing biopsies, suturing, potential for assisting in surgery
- Scribe for providers
- Help to manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
- Patient education
- Be the point of contact for patient and answer questions
- Be a team player, flexible, kind and patient
Desired skills include:
- Proficient computer/iPad skills
- HIPAA Compliant and conscious
- Knowledge of medical procedures and suturing preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service
We are willing to train the right candidate who is driven to learn and has a curiosity for dermatology. Starting pay is based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
