Merchandiser

Major Responsibilities
Merchandising & Product Rotation - Maintain organized backstock, rotate products properly, and ensure displays meet company standards
- Be on time for your scheduled assigned route.
- Stock Coca-Cola products in assigned accounts, including shelves, displays, racks, and coolers.
- Rotate products to ensure freshness and compliance to company standards.
- Place damaged or out of date product in assigned area for product returns.
- Build or break down promotional displays as needed.
- Condense and organize backstock before leaving each account.
- Use the Form App to provide accurate and timely information requested from each account.
Communication & Sales Support
- Communicate daily with the Account Manager and DSM regarding product rotation, low/out-of-stock items, display activity, and missing point-of-sale materials.
- Know key customer personnel, store manager, grocery manager and receiver and work to develop a professional, positive working relationship.
- Use interpersonal skills including but not limited to empathy, emotional regulation, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration.
- Vehicle Use
- Maintain auto insurance, mileage reporting, and vehicle servicing per Company Vehicle Use Policy (applies to both company-provided and personal vehicles)
Safety / Physical Requirements
- This position is considered safety sensitive.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in the company’s safety training program
- Must be able to lift and carry 65 lbs. repetitively, including above shoulders and below waist.
- Push/pull manual pallet jacks with loads up to 2,600 lbs. and beverage carts up to 1,000 lbs. on level and sloped surfaces.
- Perform frequent twisting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, and crawling.
- Properly clean up any product spills to eliminate slips or falls.

- Travel to various customer sites; environments and weather conditions will vary
- Extensive regional day travel required
- Work hours: average 42 hour work week, daily start times vary between 5:00am – 7:00am start until assigned route is complete.
- Additional or alternative days/times may be occasionally needed depending on customer needs or promotional campaigns, including holidays
- Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain professional appearance and uphold Durango Coca-Cola’s brand image in all customer interactions.
Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver’s license (no major traffic violations and no more than 2 minor violations in the last 3 years)
- Ability to pass physical exam and obtain certification
- Ability to follow directions
- Team-player attitude
- Ability to perform essential functions of position with little or no supervision
- Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance is an essential job function
- Excellent customer service communication skills to interact with customers.

- The role will travel to various customer sites, as a result each environment will vary.
- Extensive regional day travel is required with this role.
- To accomplish tasks, the position will need to work around a variety of weather environments (e.g. sun, rain, sleet, snow, excessive cold & heat)
- This position is very active and requires constant standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and spend their time both on the customer floor and in their back room(s). As a result, they should expect a fast-paced production environment and will frequently lift and/or move items up to 65 pounds. (Moving equipment and tools will be provided to reduce strains and injury.)
- The role is expected to be able to lift and carry 65 lbs. repetitively. Must be able to lift weight above shoulders and below waist. Must be able to push and pull a manual pallet jack with a pallet of product on level and sloped surfaces moving pallets weighing up to 2,600 lbs. Must be able to push and pull beverage carts weighing up to 1,000 lbs. on level and sloped surfaces.
- The role will have occasional to frequent twisting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and will be required.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Work hours: 5:00am – 7:00am start until routes are complete, Monday through Friday. (Start times may vary slightly according to route assignment.)
- Additional or alternative days/times may be occasionally needed, depending on customer and/or promotional campaigns, including holidays.
