What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outdoor Zipline Adventure Guide position at Durango Adventures and Zipline Tours?
Durango Adventures and Zipline Tours is always looking for Guides to run our ziplines. We are looking for enthusiastic applicants with a personal commitment to professionalism, safety, physical fitness and exceptional customer service. Guides are responsible for delivering an unforgettable zipline experience, upholding strict safety standards, as well as providing an outstanding level of service to a diverse array of customers.
PLEASE NOTE: Training will begin as soon as candidate is hired. It will be part time for the 1st few weeks and then full time starting Memorial Day weekend 2026 and beyond. Subject to change based on demand.
- Strong interest in and knowledge of outdoor activities
- Solid interpersonal skills along with a “can do” attitude. A candidate must be someone who is self-starting, energetic and focused, embraces responsibility and challenge, and is a great team player.
- Available for at least 40 hours per week including long days. Year round and summer only positions available.
- Excellent physical condition both strength and endurance
- Live within 20 miles of our Durango office, have a vehicle, and have a clean driving record
- Any zipline, high ropes course, or rock climbing experience required
- Any outdoor certifications such as WFR , EMT, ACCT, first aid and CPR etc. a plus
- Knowledge of the local area including parks, history, etc. a plus
- Must be at least 18 years of age with clean criminal background and driving record
- Comfortable with public speaking in small and large group settings
