An Industrial Process Engineer is a key figure in optimizing manufacturing processes. Their main goal is to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality while reducing waste. They act as a bridge between engineering, business, and production, using data and technical knowledge to solve problems and drive improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The daily duties and responsibilities are hands-on and detail-oriented, focusing on translating customer requirements into a clear, actionable plan for the production floor.
- Document Interpretation: The engineer must be able to read and interpret customer-provided documents, including purchase orders, specifications, and blueprints, to understand the exact requirements for a part.
- Process Planning: They are responsible for generating a process document that outlines the steps for a part to be processed through various stages like plating, thermal spray, and grinding, ensuring all customer and quality requirements are met.
- Workflow Organization: They organize process documents to create an efficient workflow within the plant, minimizing bottlenecks and delays.
- Problem Solving & Quality Control: When issues arise, such as with discrepant (flawed) parts, they assist in determining corrective actions and creating rework plans to bring parts back to an acceptable condition. They also support quality-related audits to ensure compliance.
- Contract Review: A critical function is contract review, which involves verifying the completeness and accuracy of customer purchase orders, screening for errors and omissions before work begins.
- Communication: Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for handling internal and external customer issues.

Work Environment:
Most work is done in the office, but this job also operates in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment. Limited exposure to manufacturing elements such as noise, temperatures, dust, odors, and fumes.

- Must be able to safely utilize and wear PPE, such as dust mask, steel toe footwear, safety glasses.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for First shift. Monday through Friday 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. for Second shift.

No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, or relevant field.
- 2-5 years of experience in process planning preferred
