Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing and executing all core human resources functions for a rapidly growing, dynamic, multi-state organization. This role supports both in-house and remote employees and partners closely with leadership to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and a strong people-first culture. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing HR operations across multiple U.S. states and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities· Partner with executive and operational leaders to align HR strategy with business goals and company growth.
· Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs that support a multi-state workforce.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, paid leave, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and employee classification requirements.
· Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR policies to reflect state-specific and regulatory changes.
· Manage employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
· Support managers with performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
· Support recruiting and hiring activities, including job descriptions, workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, and offer approvals.
· Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive and compliant employee experience.
· Administer compensation and benefits programs, including benefits enrollment and annual open enrollment.
· Serve as the primary HR contact for payroll coordination, benefits vendors, insurance providers, and HRIS systems.
· Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR documentation.
· Support training, compliance, and leadership development initiatives.
· Promote a respectful, inclusive, and high-accountability workplace culture.
· Process bi-weekly payroll using Insperity Payroll System.
Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive human resources experience.
· Demonstrated experience supporting employees across multiple U.S. states.
· Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
· Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
· Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment· Office-based work environment with regular collaboration across departments.
· Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
· Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
Compensation:
