What are the responsibilities and job description for the DELRIN® Welding Coordinator & Reliability Support Role position at Dupont?
The purpose of a new Delrin® Welding Coordinator & Reliability Support Role’s primary responsibility is to support all functions of the Delrin® welding program, welders, fitters, and Mechanical Development Group personnel to be code compliant. The welding coordinator role includes Planning, Scheduling and MRO responsibilities, pre- & post-welding inspections, field inspections, and obtaining/maintaining any certifications required to do so.
Secondary roles and developmental opportunities within this role will focus on systemic reliability for the Delrin® area. We envision the reliability support role functionality to be developed in conjunction with the evolving Delrin® business needs. These build off the skillset required for the Welding Coordinator role. These areas of reliability may include, but not limited to:
Mechanical Integrity Inspections assistance; visual inspections of dock boards, box dumpers and tilters, etc.
Assisting with rotating equipment inspections.
Material Receipt Inspections (MRI) assistance; for non-stores or fabricated material.

This job is to be a Monday – Friday hourly role being overtime eligible with a minimum time commitment of 5 years from job placement.
Welding Coordinator – Primary Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining the quality control program described in the E. I. DuPont De Nemours & Company, Inc Washington Works Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Manual for Welded Fabrication.
Review and understand fabrication sketches, repair drawings, and PV forms.
Blueprint and Isometric drawing interpretation.
Alternate for completing sketches and job plans for welding jobs.
The MRO responsibilities of this role is to order Delrin® welding material and consumables using SAP. Writing SAP Material Requisitions and Service Requestions can be developed on the job, but is required.
The Planning and Scheduling responsibilities of this role is to plan Delrin® welding group manpower. This may include urgent, scheduled or TAR work scopes.
Prepare and complete welding travelers and nondestructive examination reports.
Shall ensure that all materials, filler materials, heat treatment, weld joint geometry, and welding processes are in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and qualified welding procedures.
Coordinate any painting or galvanizing of fabricated material on or off-site.
Will inspect and verify that all incoming material is identified with the appropriate markings and ASTM specifications.
Review Welding Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Records, and Welder Performance Qualifications.
Maintain welder continuity log per each welder in accordance with MP-10.
Responsible for the retention of weld inspection and tests records.
Accept and document Hydrostatic Testing of pipe and pressure vessels.
Within 1-year from job placement, the successful candidate will be required to pass and maintain
American Society for Nondestructive Testing Visual Testing Level II (VT) (Required)
-OR- American Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) which includes (VT)
American Society for Nondestructive Testing Liquid Penetrant Testing Level II (PT) (Required)
Reliability Support - Secondary Roles and Developmental Opportunities:
Mechanical Integrity Inspections development and assistance building off the Welding Coordinator skillset.
Visual examination of API-570, API-510, and API-653.
Visual examination dock boards, tote-bin tumblers, box dumpers, and box tilters.
Visual examination of engineered equipment.
American Society for Nondestructive Testing Ultrasonic Thickness Testing Level II (UT) (Optional)
Assisting MDG with rotating equipment inspections.
Material Receipt Inspection development and assistance
Visual examination of non-stores or fabricated material building off the Welding Coordinator skillset.
Material Receipt Inspection (MRI) (Optional)
Opportunistic development may include - Delrin® Rigging Champion
S&OH 515 Hoisting Equipment, Hoisting Systems, & Rigging Procedure Monitor
Conduct annual Delrin® rigging inspections
Facilitate or conduct Delrin® rigging training requirements, including the 3-year hands-on training.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
2-year trade or college schooling or equivalent work experience.
Welding experience in the GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), FCAW (Flux Core), and GMAW (MIG) processes.
Ability to read and sketch an isometric fabrication drawing.
Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends and on short notice call-in if required
Pass and maintain with or without corrective lens a near vision acuity Jaeger J2 vision test at 12-17 inches as well as a color perception test
Demonstrated maintenance knowledge and experience; Delrin® area and equipment expertise are desired.
Good organizational skills to prioritize workload(s) throughout.
Ability to effectively use SAP to perform the MRO, Planning and Scheduling responsibilities.
Possess basic computer application skills such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
