Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain control of the conversion of intermediates through monomerization, pre-polymerization and finishing into molten polymer for flake production.
- Maintain control of multiple utility systems to support the operation areas.
- Monitors control information for an area and makes adjustments as necessary to operate equipment and facilities, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
- Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
- May occasionally be required to drive company vehicles off-site to transport products.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- A valid driver's license
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience OR a recent graduate with an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science related field
- Proficiency with a computer, including programs such as Word and Excel
- Must be willing and able to work in a 12-hour rotating shift environment that includes holidays, weekends, and required overtime
- Willing and able to lift and move objects that weigh up to 50 lbs., move drums weighing up to 700 pounds with Stevedore truck and exert up to 75 pounds pull (with or without accommodation)
- Willing and able to wear protective equipment for extended periods such as hard hats, goggles, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, hot suits, SCBA, etc.
- Willing and able to work with hazardous materials
- Willing and able to work alone and in isolated areas
- Willing and able to work around hot surfaces and high temperatures
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must be able to work in a multi-ethnic, multi -cultural setting
- Must be willing and able to work in a team environment
- Willing and able to work at a tobacco free site

The following are preferred:
- An Associate’s Degree or higher
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or related environment
- Experience/knowledge in working with liquid and gas flow, control loop instrumentation, and catalyst and chemical reactions
- The ability to transcribe and communicate information (ideas, facts, etc.) intelligibly both verbally and in legible writing
- Previous experience in training or leading groups and/or individuals
- Work with minimum supervisory direction
- Analyze problems and situations to make logical decisions
- The ability to read graphs and charts
- The ability to perform simple algebraic equations
