As we expand into video content development, we're looking for a creative and motivated Video Editing Intern to join our growing team and help bring our clients' brands to life on platforms like YouTube and beyond.
Role Overview
As a Video Editing Intern, you'll work closely with our marketing and content team to produce polished, on-brand video content ready for publishing across digital platforms. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real-world experience in video production within a fast-paced agency environment.
Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into engaging, publish-ready content for client YouTube channels and other digital platforms
- Use tools such as Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Premiere Pro to cut, trim, color correct, and enhance video projects
- Add graphics, lower-thirds, transitions, captions, and music/sound effects in line with client branding
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project briefs, goals, and deadlines
- Resize and reformat video content for various platforms (YouTube, social media, website embeds, etc.)
- Organize and maintain a clean file management system for video assets and project files
- Incorporate feedback from team leads and clients through revision cycles
- Stay current on video trends, formats, and best practices for YouTube and short-form content
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Film, Media Production, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is strongly preferred; candidates with experience in Canva and/or CapCut and a willingness to learn Premiere Pro will also be considered.
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for pacing, design, and storytelling
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take and apply constructive feedback
- Familiarity with YouTube content best practices (thumbnails, aspect ratios, titles, etc.)
- Basic understanding of SEO principles as they relate to video content
- Experience with motion graphics or After Effects is a plus
- Experience editing AI-generated video content or using AI-powered tools in the video production process is a plus
- Portfolio or sample reel of previous video work
