What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant position at Duplass, A Professional Law Corporation?
Duplass APLC is searching for a Legal Assistant to join our dynamic and growing team! The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in an insurance defense setting and be skilled in the following areas:
- case management
- calendar maintenance
- scheduling depositions of witnesses and experts
- preparing subpoenas for records requests
- preparing pleadings, answers, discovery, and releases
- proper formatting requirements for documents filed in all Louisiana courts and Federal courts
- fax filing and e-filing procedures
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding organization skills and ability to manage work for three attorneys with multiple cases
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of NetDocuments is preferred
- Experience providing support in the practice area of trucking and transportation is beneficial
