What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant - Operations position at DUPAGE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS?
The full-time Administrative Assistant reports to the Senior Manager of Operations (SMO) and provides administrative support to the Operations Department. Duties include clerical projects, processing audio and record requests, maintaining agency files, preparing correspondence, filing, meeting support, processing department invoices, dispatcher scheduling, and other administrative tasks or projects to meet the needs of the dispatch center. All other duties as assigned.
Hours are full-time, primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, 40 hours per week. Other adjusted hours for training and projects as necessary. Most weekends and holidays off.

Salary:
- Starting Annual Pay: $55,827 (see Public Act 97-609 Posting for salary range)
- Paid hourly, FLSA non-exempt

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience with clerical duties.
- Proficiencies in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Must be able to successfully pass a thorough background investigation, polygraph, psychological assessment, and pre-employment medical screenings including drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A strong candidate will also have public safety or municipal experience.
