JOB TITLE              Clerk Receptionist
 
SUMMARY              It is the responsibility of the Receptionist to act as primary point of communication for the school.  This includes but not limited to receive and transmit communications from all customers (both internal and external) who call in or present themselves in the main office providing information and directing 

                                        customers to appropriate office/location.  It is further the responsibility of this individual to provide clerical support to Division Heads.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties and responsibilities may be assigned)

  • Answers phone to receive and transmit communications. (Enters time of call and phone number, record messages on special forms, route messages to appropriate individuals, this may include routing messages for radio broadcast.)
  • Facilitate and direct all emergency calls as stated in the Crisis Plan.
  • Serve as teacher/maintenance liaison for radio dispatch.
  • Receive and direct all students, parents and guests to appropriate office/location.
  • Serve as parent/teacher liaison for collecting homework for students on long-term absences.
  • Assist with new student registration packets.
  • Provide clerical support as directed (typing, copying, filing, etc.).
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Division Heads.
  • Act as the primary contact for admitting and exiting people from the building entrance by the main office.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES          

  • None

 EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Bilingual strongly preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, in both English and Spanish  strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to perform all of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external constituents.
  • Ability to work independently stay on task, multi-task, and take responsibility to complete assigned projects and duties in a timely and efficient manner.
