Role Description The Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Wheaton, IL, responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating CLE programs for DCBA members. This role designs and manages the annual CLE calendar, including live programs, webinars, and on-demand content, ensuring compliance with Illinois MCLE requirements and accreditation standards. The CLE Manager collaborates with volunteer leaders, committees, and subject-matter experts to develop relevant, high-quality curricula and program materials. Daily responsibilities include coordinating speakers and moderators, managing program logistics, overseeing registration and attendance tracking, and preparing post-program evaluations and reports. The role also involves maintaining accurate CLE records, updating online CLE offerings, supporting marketing efforts for educational events, and providing responsive member service related to CLE inquiries and credit documentation.
Qualifications
- Background in Education and Curriculum Development, with experience designing and organizing professional training or continuing education programs.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to engage with legal professionals and volunteer leaders.
- Experience in Training and Coaching, with the ability to support presenters, guide program development, and improve content quality based on feedback and outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in scheduling, recordkeeping, and accreditation compliance.
- Familiarity with CLE or continuing education accreditation processes and learning management systems is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with standard office software and online meeting platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Zoom, webinar tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, nonprofit management, legal studies, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a bar association, law-related organization, or membership-based nonprofit is a plus.
