Opportunity

 

Reporting to the C-Suite APR Energy is seeking a dynamic Director of Technology to provide vision and transformational leadership for all aspects of the organization’s information systems strategy, execution and services. As part of the management team this position will direct the planning and implementation of all business, engineering and infrastructure IT platforms in support of multiple initiatives which drive revenue and operational excellence while maintaining cost effectiveness. This position will develop & oversee a team of 10-15 internal and external technical professionals; manage multiple IT vendors and administer a budget of $1-5M depending on strategic objectives.  This position will be based in Jacksonville, Florida and will require occasional travel as required to customer sites.

Qualifications


Knowledge & Experience

  • Prior leadership role (IT Director, VP Technology, CTO etc.) within the supply chain, manufacturing or electrical energy services industry.
  • 10 years working in the manufacturing, distribution, electrical energy, supply chain or related services industry with significant hands-on IT management of commercial package solutions, integration, control room/IOT operations and remote operations support.
  • Experience implementing ERP, Supply chain, warehouse and related financial management solutions.
  • Experience in engineering, IOT, data collection and monitoring remote operation centers and assets.
  • Experience implementing and fostering innovation utilizing artificial intelligence.
  • Experience in developing buy vs. build vs. service business cases for major technological investments.
  • Experience in technology infrastructure management, cloud computing, cybersecurity, helpdesk, disaster recovery planning with ability to develop and deploy supportive enterprise-wide policies.
  • Proven track record of success in integrating discrete platforms and workflows for enhanced productivity
  • Experience in developing and deploying business intelligence, analytics and metrics reporting.
  • Substantial exposure to industry enterprise software applications, third party products, document management, cloud computing and outsourced systems/services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of computer networks, architectures, telecom, virtualization, thin client, wireless, security, compliance, data centers, operations, new office openings and database (SQLServer) applications.
  • Experience with developing business requirements, systems design, development and implementation
  • Proven experience in developing IT strategy, roadmap and delivering major change initiatives.
  • Proven experience in negotiating contracts, license optimization, service levels & managing IT vendors.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.

 

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline.

Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
