Summary: The Maintenance Team Member is responsible for general upkeep and maintenance of all buildings, grounds, and infrastructure to ensure that they meet the high Dunton standards of aesthetic, safety, and functional requirements.
Essential Functions:
· Perform daily maintenance checks of cabins and all water systems
· Maintaining grounds and trails
· Activity equipment maintenance and repair
· Seasonal grounds duties – summer: firewood, canvas tent maintenance, hot tub and sauna; winter: snow removal, roof maintenance
· Inventory awareness and maintenance of property tools and equipment, as well as care of property vehicles
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Strong organizational skills and attention to details
· Good analytical/critical thinking, problem solving skills
· Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule as business activity demands, including being available to work weekends/holiday periods
· Must be able to read and write fluent English
· Ability to work well in stressful situations
Required Education and/or Training
Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
· Minimum of a High School, vocational, or equivalency degree
· Previous experience in maintenance and grounds work
· Well-versed in technical/engineering operations
· Love for backcountry settings and creative approaches to maintenance in rural settings
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
Knowledge of outdoor and backcountry activity equipment a plus (mountain bikes, snow machines, etc.)
· Experience in trails maintenance and general building maintenance
· Experience with safari and canvas tent set-up and maintenance
· Vehicle maintenance
Required Working Conditions
· Tasks often conducted in a physical, fast-paced environment with ever-changing demands
· Frequent reaching, bending and stooping with constant walking/moving around
· Occasional travel and transporting of materials between work areas, even under inclement weather
· Regular pushing, lifting and carrying of 15 to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
