About the Role:The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and operation of residential or commercial properties to ensure they are well-maintained, profitable, and compliant with all regulations. This position involves assisting with tenant relations, lease administration, and coordinating maintenance and repair activities to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention. The Assistant Property Manager works closely with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective property upkeep. Additionally, this role supports financial management tasks such as rent collection, budgeting, and expense tracking to contribute to the property's financial health. Ultimately, the Assistant Property Manager helps create a safe, attractive, and efficiently run environment that meets the needs of both property owners and tenants.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field preferred.At least 1-2 years of experience in property management, real estate, or a related customer service role.Basic knowledge of property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Familiarity with landlord-tenant laws and property maintenance standards.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in property management such as Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or similar credentials.Experience with financial reporting and budgeting in a property management context.Proficiency in advanced property management software platforms (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio).Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution and negotiate effectively with tenants and vendors.Knowledge of local real estate market trends and regulations.Responsibilities:Assist in managing day-to-day property operations including tenant communications, lease administration, and coordinating maintenance requests.Support rent collection processes and follow up on delinquencies to maintain consistent cash flow.Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to schedule and oversee property maintenance and repairs.Maintain accurate records related to leases, tenant interactions, maintenance activities, and financial transactions.Assist in preparing property budgets, financial reports, and ensure compliance with local laws and property regulations.Respond promptly to tenant inquiries and resolve issues to maintain high levels of tenant satisfaction.Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety standards are met.Support marketing efforts for vacant units including advertising and showing properties to prospective tenants.Skills:The Assistant Property Manager utilizes strong communication skills daily to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members, ensuring clear and professional exchanges. Organizational skills are essential for managing lease documentation, maintenance schedules, and financial records accurately and efficiently. Problem-solving abilities are frequently applied to address tenant concerns, maintenance issues, and operational challenges promptly. Proficiency with property management software and technology tools supports streamlined workflows, data management, and reporting. Additionally, knowledge of relevant laws and regulations guides compliance efforts and helps maintain a safe and legally sound property environment.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
