What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outdoor Staff position at Dunrovin Exotic Animal Sanctuary?
Dunrovin's Exotic Animal Sanctuary is searching for a responsible, trustworthy individual to add to our Outdoor Staff. Shifts are from 7:00am to 1:00pm Monday-Friday.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortability around animals such as livestock and poultry
- Ability to follow directions and protocols set by management
- Ability to work well with others or solo
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner
Duties:
- Basic Groundskeeping - clearing pathways, removing trash and debris, cleaning signs, clearing overgrown brush, cleaning/filling water fountains, watering plants, etc.
- Animal Care Support - washing dishes, cleaning food prep and storage areas, moving feed/hay, etc.
- Direct Animal Care - feeding and watering domestic animals, cleaning and sanitization of enclosures, etc.
- Basic Maintenance - utilizing power tools to complete small repairs, assisting other staff members on larger projects, etc.
