The HR Intern will report to Madysen Byrnes, Senior Benefits & Compensation Analyst.

The Role
Steel Partners is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Intern to support a variety of HR initiatives across talent development, HR operations, compensation, benefits, and HR analytics.
The HR Intern will report to Madysen Byrnes, Senior Benefits & Compensation Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on emerging training and professional development resources to support leadership and employee development initiatives
- Assist with employee career development and talent planning initiatives, including tracking development opportunities and supporting program implementation
- Generate and analyze HR reports and workforce data to identify trends and support actionable insights for HR leadership
- Support compensation and benefits initiatives, including invoicing, reporting, and program administration
- Provide support for recruiting coordination, employee engagement activities, and day-to-day HR operations
- Develop HR resource materials and one-page guides on key HR topics (e.g., benefits, career development, policies, or training programs) to support employee communication and internal initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to support HR programs and strategic initiatives
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc initiatives across various areas of Human Resources as needed
- Networking opportunities with business leaders across the organization
