We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the hygienist.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dental hygienist with patient care during hygiene appointments.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
- Take X-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology for dental impressions as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology is essential.
- Experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive environment
- Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is an advantage but not mandatory.
