Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring efficient transaction processing.
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining high-quality presentation and taste.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques.
• Operate cash registers confidently, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to sanitation standards to ensure food safety.
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients, portioning items, and stocking supplies for smooth kitchen operation.
• Support team members by performing duties like food delivery from kitchen to serving areas and assisting with basic kitchen tasks as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are most important!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus but can be learned on the job.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and managing retail math are essential.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques is highly valued.
• Experience in retail environments like grocery stores or cafes can provide a strong foundation for success in this role.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude that makes every guest feel welcome.
