What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Corrections position at Dunhill Staffing Systems?

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Correctional Facility in Newark, NJ.

Job Function~

Evening Shift.
2pm - 10pm.
Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
Initiates corrective action whenever the patient.

Job Requirements~

Completion of state-approved LPN program.
Current RN license for the state of New Jersey.
2 years of RN experience is required.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
