Pour Coordinator involves:
· Planning concrete pours.
· Managing site preparation and logistics.
· Ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications.
· Coordinating with engineers, plant personnel, delivery teams, and subcontractors.
· Documenting processes and maintaining safe, efficient operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop pour schedules and sequence for ready-mix deliveries. Coordinate with project engineers to ensure formwork, reinforcing, and embedded items are correctly placed before the pour.
Inspect site is prepared: forms are secure, reinforcement is placed, subgrade appropriately compacted. Document any deficiencies noted during inspection. Oversee concrete placement: monitoring slump, timing, weather conditions, and flow from the mixer. Document above listed items.
Verify concrete mix meets specifications, consistency is correct, and pour techniques are up to standard. Monitor finishing operations: screeding, vibrating, floating, troweling, and curing processes. Document process.
Align delivery trucks and pump crews with pour phases, ensuring efficient pumping and placement. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and the ready-mix plant to maintain concrete volume and timing.
Enforce safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) use. Document inspections, weather conditions, and quality control observations.
Act as liaison between the project manager, site superintendent, and concrete supplier. Maintain detailed records of pour times, concrete quantities, tests, and any issues encountered.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
· Familiarity with concrete properties, mix designs, set times, weather sensitivity.
· Proficiency in reading plans, specifications, and pour sequences.
· Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities.
· Experience in coordinating on-site construction activities, managing timing and logistics.
· Knowledge of quality assurance/testing protocols; certifications (ACI, NRMCA Concrete Technologist, etc.) are a plus.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
