What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Dunham Price Group?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor provides daily, hands-on leadership over maintenance technicians across DPG's operating divisions—including ready-mix plants, aggregate sites, prestress facilities, asphalt operations, trucking yards, and equipment shops.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, this role ensures that planned work, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective repairs are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with DPG's modernization and accountability standards.
The Maintenance Supervisor bridges the gap between planning and execution. The Planner/Scheduler prepares the work; the Maintenance Supervisor leads the field execution, verifies readiness, adjusts to real-time operational needs, and ensures disciplined maintenance practices that support equipment uptime, production reliability, and cost control.

1. Leadership & Daily Oversight
· Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, mechanics, welders, service personnel, and contractors.
· Assign and oversee daily tasks based on the work schedule issued by the Planner/Scheduler.
· Enforce accountability: ensure work is completed correctly, safely, and documented in accordance with DPG's maintenance and ERP data-integrity expectations.

· Identify recurring failures, chronic maintenance issues, and reliability gaps.
· Recommend updates to PM frequency, lubrication schedules, and equipment care standards.
· Collaborate with the Planner/Scheduler to transition DPG from reactive maintenance to a disciplined, reliability-based system.
4. Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
· Enforce DPG safety policies, PPE standards, and LOTO procedures without exception.
· Conduct field-level risk assessments and job hazard analyses with maintenance personnel.
· Ensure maintenance shops, parts rooms, and plant equipment areas remain organized, clean, and compliant with OSHA and DPG standards.
· Immediately address unsafe behavior, equipment hazards, or unreported near misses.
5. Coordination With Operations
· Maintain daily communication with Plant Managers, Foremen, Batch Operators, Truck Shop Supervisors, and Production/Operations teams.
· Support operations by responding quickly to critical failures affecting production, trucking, prestress strand tensioning, or asphalt uptime.
· Provide advance notice to operations for equipment downtime, lockouts, or scheduled outages.
6. Inventory, Parts & Resource Management
· Confirm availability of required parts, supplies, consumables, and repair materials prior to job execution.
· Coordinate with the Planner/Scheduler and Warehouse/Parts Personnel regarding shortages or upcoming needs.
· Maintain proper use and care of company tools, service trucks, welders, hoists, lifts, and diagnostic equipment.
