General Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing chiller projects from order receipt through final completion. This role serves as the main point of contact for customers and coordinates with sales engineering, factory operations, logistics, and service teams to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of projects after handoff from Sales Engineering
- Review project scope, schedules, specifications, and customer requirements
- Coordinate factory witness testing with customers, engineers, and production teams
- Manage delivery schedules and communicate site requirements to logistics
- Track shipped-loose items and resolve delivery discrepancies
- Coordinate commissioning schedules with customers and service teams
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues affecting timelines or performance
- Prepare and deliver closeout documents, including manuals, warranties, and as-built documentation
- Serve as primary customer contact throughout project execution
- Maintain accurate project records and status updates
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 5–7 years of project management experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, or related industries
- Chiller or rotating equipment experience preferred
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and project specifications
- Knowledge of chilled water systems and HVAC fundamentals preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- ERP/CRM or project management software experience preferred
- PMP certification is a plus but not required
