Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Technical Trainer is to educate people in a technological field. You will develop technical training programs and help others develop skills that will make them better professionals. Technical trainers must be extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude. Additionally, we expect you to be an excellent communicator, able to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting way. The goal is to contribute to the development of people’s technical/IT skills to meet organizational needs.
- Responsible for managing the technology training program.
- Identify training opportunities.
- Manage and maintain training environments.
- Manage end-user training for supported applications- Microsoft 365, Mitel UCaaS, SysAid Service Desk system, Click up and other applications.
- Knowledge base management
- Stay up to date with the latest technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices to incorporate into training programs.
- Create a positive service culture within the training environment.
- To willingly perform other duties as assigned- Provide support to the IS Director and IS team as requested
Qualifications
MUST HAVE:
- 2 years of work experience in information technology with a technology certification (Such as: Microsoft Certified Learning Consultant, Microsoft Certified Trainer, CompTIA A Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional, or an other technology or training certifications.)
- Prior experience creating, developing, and presenting information in one-to-one and in group situations.
- Basic knowledge of Project Management
NICE TO HAVE:
- 4-year degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Education)
SKILLS CRUCIAL TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that has a strong ability to creatively think about training and how people learn technology, while personally being able to learn new systems themselves quickly with little to no guidance.
- You recognize connections, translate goals into action, and use sound judgment when evaluating successful training tools, techniques and recommend changes, when needed
- High level of curiosity, initiative, and the desire to learn end-to-end processes to drive process efficiencies and simplification.
- Must be an excellent communicator both verbally and written, while having unparalleled customer service levels- you should have the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- You must also thrive in a team environment that values cross team collaboration and building on the success of others.
