The Dundee Township Park District is looking for friendly, responsible, and energetic individuals to join our Park Services team at Randall Oaks Park as a Park Ranger / Hayride Operator!
What You’ll Do
As a Park Ranger / Hayride Operator, you’ll:
- Welcome and assist guests during rentals at Randall Oaks Park.
- Set up and maintain park shelters and picnic sites, keeping everything clean, safe, and guest-ready.
- Safely load and transport guests on a hay wagon ride through the park.
- Start and tend bonfires during special events and rentals.
- Maintain a visible and helpful presence to enhance the guest experience.
- Support the Zoo & Park Curator or Manager on Duty with various park operations.
- Promote a safe environment by following safety procedures and reporting hazards.
Who You Are
You’re an outgoing team player with:
- A passion for outdoor work and helping others.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to stay calm and focused, even when things get busy.
- Good physical stamina for an active, on-your-feet job.
- A valid driver’s license and minimum age of 18.
- Bonus points for experience driving a tractor or mid-sized equipment!
Schedule
- This is a seasonal, part-time position averaging less than 20 hours per week.
- Shifts vary and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A set schedule may be available, depending on park rental needs.
