What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Staff position at Dundee Child Care Center & Preschool?
- Be able to fill an assistant teaching role during mornings for preschool, as well as a caregiver role for child care in the afternoon.
- Fill the caregiver role for school-aged children as part of our latch key and summer care programs.
- Effectively implement and follow the daily schedule and routines in keeping with safety protocols and state child care licensing requirements.
- Help keep classroom facilities and equipment safe, clean and orderly.
- Be able to work opening or closing shifts if necessary.
- Must pass a full criminal background screening per State of Michigan child care licensing requirements
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma; experience in a child care center or child related field preferred.
- Display strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
- Possess strong team-working skills
- Be able to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple daily tasks
- Have the flexibility to adapt and improvise daily plans to fit the needs of the group of children present
- Conduct oneself following the NAEYC Ethical Code of Conduct and follow State of Michigan child care licensing laws
