We are in search of a friendly and dependable worker to fulfill the Cashier Customer Service position for the afternoon shift (2:45 PM-10:45 PM - three shifts a week), to become an essential part of our amazing team! We are a small business, BP gas station located in Dundee, MI, right off M-50 and 23. You will be responsible for selling products and providing services in a retail setting in order to drive store revenue.
Cashier Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:
- Welcoming and provide assistance to customers in a friendly manner
- Building and maintain long-lasting customer relationships
- Resolving customer complaints with care and diligence
- Oversee store cleanliness and organization
- Efficiently operate register and lottery systems
- Check identification and prohibit sales to minors for alcohol and tobacco products
- Carry out various closing procedures in a timely manner
Cashier Expectations and Qualifications:
- Must have a reliable source of transportation
- Ability to perform basic mathematics in order to properly handle drawers
- Sufficient verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended lengths of time
- Meeting and exceeding customer expectations on every visit
- Maintaining a clean, safe environment to ensure the store is presentable
- Preparation of our customer favorites...coffee!!
- Ensuring proper preparation, presentation, and freshness of all foodservice products
- Cash handling, fuel transactions
- Ability to follow proper health code guidelines
- The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
