What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiation Therapist position at DUNCAN REGIONAL HOSPITAL?
The Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma is looking to fill a position for a Radiation Therapist. We pride ourselves in providing state-of-the-art advanced Radiation Therapy to patients right here at home and consistently score “Excellent or Outstanding” on patient surveys.
Responsibilities:
-Accurately deliver daily radiation therapy treatments via linear accelerator under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.
-Works closely with Radiation Oncologist, Dosimetry, Physics, and Radiation Therapist staff for simulation of patient to provide the best treatment option and accurately records all patient set-up information.
-Ensures proper patient alignment and treatment set-up.
-Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and capturing correct billing information.
-Assists in acquisition of daily QA and patient specific QA data.
-Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
-Properly handles patient information and follows HIPAA.
Equipment/Procedures:
-Elekta Synergy: 3-D, IMRT, IGRT
-Elekta Versa HD paired with a BrainLab Exactrac Dynamic System: 3-D, IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT
-Equipped with the Hexapod Couch and Active Breathing Coordinator
-Mosaiq EMR
-Accuboost HDR: APBI and Breast Boost treatments
-GYN HDR
-Siemens Definition AS
-4D Respiratory Gating scans using the Anzai system
Qualifications:-Graduate of an Accredited Radiation Therapy Program (ARRT)
-ARRT Certification for Radiation Therapy or Registry Eligible
-BLS Certification
-1 year experience working as a Radiation Therapist is preferred.
