Junior HAAS CNC Programmer-Operator Step into a day where you turn a print and a piece of raw stock into a precision part. You’ll arrive to a climate-controlled, clean shop, review drawings, set up your workholding, and—with coaching from seasoned machinists—run 2014-era HAAS CNC equipment to bring parts to life. Your first months on the floor Learn the HAAS control panel and build practical G-code skills with mentorship and structured training.Assist in taking drawings to finished parts: staging materials, selecting tooling, and executing safe, reliable machining operations.Measure twice: confirm dimensional accuracy with calipers, micrometers, and other gauges before a job is signed off.Rotate onto manual equipment (vertical/horizontal boring mills, lathes) to broaden your fundamentals. How you’ll grow Independently set up, program, and run parts to print.Develop working knowledge of G-code and conversational programming.Gain confidence machining steels and flame-cut stock.Apply high-speed insert strategies for efficiency and tool life.Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T to verify all requirements are met.Own in-process inspection and final part quality checks. What you bring Completion of a formal machining program or apprenticeship.Up to 5 years of manual machining experience.Up to 3 years programming/operating on a HAAS control.
