Dunamis Energy is seeking a full-time Lease Operator III for its downtown Denver location.

This position will operate out of our Windsor, CO office with field locations in the surrounding area.
Role Description:
The Lease Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of assigned oil and gas production facilities, wells, tank batteries, and associated equipment. This position monitors production performance, troubleshoots equipment issues, performs routine inspections, coordinates maintenance activities, ensures accurate production reporting, and maintains compliance with company safety and environmental requirements. The Lease Operator serves as the primary field representative for maintaining production uptime, equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and safe operating practices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field production operations including tank gauging, meter readings, pressure monitoring, artificial lift optimization, and operation of production equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of wells, tank batteries, heater treaters, separators, compressors, artificial lift systems, and related production equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to production equipment, and coordinate larger repairs with vendors, contractors, and support personnel.
- Monitor well performance, downtime, and shut-ins, and communicate significant changes or concerns to supervisors and production engineering personnel.
- Accurately record and report production data, equipment performance, downtime events, and field observations using company production systems.
- Identify opportunities to optimize production, improve operational efficiency, reduce lease operating expenses, and enhance equipment reliability.
- Support workovers, facility projects, equipment installations, and other field operations activities.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and other support teams to maximize production and minimize downtime.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe wellsites, facilities, vehicles, tools, equipment, and other company assets.
- Operate company vehicles safely in all weather and field conditions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental, regulatory, and operating procedures; promoting the company’s commitment to develop energy in ways that support strong communities, protect the environment, and contribute to Colorado’s long-term prosperity.
- Serve as an experienced field resource for Lease Operators by providing mentorship, guidance, knowledge sharing, and operational support.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to operational emergencies as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5 year of oil and gas production operations experience required.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work responsibilities and operate with limited oversight.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in production operations, troubleshooting, and field best practices.
- Understanding of oil and gas production operations, facilities, and production equipment, including various forms of artificial lift: plunger lift, gas lift, rod pump.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to identify and resolve routine operational and mechanical issues.
- Understanding of production reporting, measurement, and field data collection.
- Strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions.
- Walk on uneven terrain and climb stairs, ladders, and production equipment.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Operate company vehicle and independently travel frequently between locations.
- Work in an environment that includes exposure to loud noise, hazardous chemicals, hydrocarbons, and extreme pressure.
- Safely work with moving machinery and equipment using extreme caution.
This role will work an 8-on-6-off schedule, 11 hours per day, with rotational on-call responsibilities, subject to change.
This is a safety-sensitive position, subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Compensation:
The base hourly rate for this position is $47.50 per hour. In addition, our Benefits & Compensation package includes medical and dental coverage, 401(k) match, and generous paid time off.
