We are hiring a Truck Washer/Shop Hand to help maintain and clean our fleet of light-duty and heavy-duty trucks, support shop operations, and ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for daily service. This position plays an important role in keeping our trucks and equipment in top condition and supporting our shop team as needed.
All duties of the Truck Washer/Shop Hand are to be performed in accordance with Company operating procedures to maximize the safety of all personnel at the work site and to efficiently perform assigned tasks.
Position Overview
The Truck Washer/Shop Hand is responsible for washing and detailing a variety of equipment—including vacuum trucks, pump trucks, hot oilers, and other units—while also assisting with general shop duties when not washing trucks. This role requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to travel to other yards as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and detail light-duty and heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Operate pressure washers and other cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized wash bay
- Assist mechanics and shop personnel with basic maintenance and general shop work
- Help with yard organization, housekeeping, and other assigned tasks
- Safely operate company vehicles
- Travel overnight (typically one night per week) to assist with cleaning at other yard locations
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR
- Ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform physically demanding work
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Mechanically inclined or prior shop experience preferred
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
- Truck or heavy-equipment washing
- Basic shop or mechanical experience
- Oilfield or trucking industry background
