Duties
- Supervise and support servers, bussers, and host/hostess staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, guest relations, and food handling standards
- Assist with training team members on POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring accurate order taking and cashiering
- Oversee food preparation and sanitation procedures to maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
- Manage reservations using OpenTable and coordinate seating arrangements for optimal guest flow
- Upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction
- Handle cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashing out servers and balancing registers at shift end
Skills
- Proven experience with restaurant operations, including fine dining or nightclub environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable booking platform
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy service hours
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques such as upselling to increase revenue without compromising guest experience
- Solid background in food industry safety standards, sanitation, food handling, and food preparation
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Experience in serving, bussing tables, or host/hostess roles within a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Basic math skills for cashiering, food cost calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
