Overview
We at Dumbauld's Tire Service are looking for an outgoing individual to work behind the counter at the shop. The role includes a lot of customer interaction, from answering phone calls to assisting with tire needs in person. We are looking someone who can manage not only our computer system to do daily invoicing, but also do a fair amount of work in the shop as well.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting the right tires.
- Perform tire installations, rotations, balancing, and basic vehicle maintenance tasks with precision and safety awareness.
- Manage inventory levels of tires, parts, and accessories using our inventory control system.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, handle cash and card payments accurately while maintaining excellent cashiering practices.
- Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, ensuring client needs are met with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain shop cleanliness, organize stock shelves, and ensure proper stocking of automotive parts and accessories for efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Prior experience in the tire industry is highly preferred, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently using inventory management tools.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and order fulfillment processes.
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude and phone etiquette skills.
- Valid driver’s license preferred; experience with tire sales or retail sales is advantageous.
- Pre-employment drug testing and a physical.
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
