Position Highlights

- Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00-5:00pm

- Leads daily operations across all Cardiology Testing/Imaging locations to deliver consistent readiness, safety, quality, and patient experience (20%)
- Oversees daily operational readiness: staffing coverage, schedule execution, equipment uptime, room utilization, and supply availability.
- Ensures timely resolution of operational barriers and escalations; supports supervisors in managing complex issues.
- Maintains consistent service recovery expectations and patient communication standards across sites.
- Drives performance in volume, utilization, and capacity through scheduling optimization and throughput improvement (20%)
- Ensures efficient capacity planning and schedule management across modalities to maximize completed studies and reduce avoidable downtime.
- Partners with supervisors/leads to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to patient flow, turn times, and throughput.
- Implements a standard operating cadence to review performance and execute action plans.
- Leads staffing models, coverage, and productivity across geographies (20%)
- Accountable for staff productivity and staffing effectiveness, including flex coverage, staffing ratios, PTO planning, and real-time adjustments based on demand.
- Directly manages 3 supervisors; coaches performance, builds leader capability, and ensures consistent expectations across all sites.
- Provides indirect leadership to leads to ensure strong execution, training, and daily operational discipline.
- Standardizes quality and clinical-operational workflows; ensures accreditation/regulatory readiness across all applicable requirements (20%)
- Standardizes quality practices, audit/monitoring routines, and corrective action processes to ensure consistent high-quality testing/imaging delivery across locations.
- Ensures teams maintain readiness for all applicable accreditation and regulatory requirements; partners with quality/safety and imaging leadership to address gaps and sustain compliance.
- Ensures workflow alignment across modalities including: Echo, Nuclear, PET/CT, CT/cCTA, Stress Testing, Vascular, Holter/Device, and other cardiology testing services.
- Oversees maintenance, repairs, service contracts, and supports buildouts/expansion readiness (20%)
- Oversees equipment uptime and operational continuity across all locations, including coordination of maintenance, repairs, vendor support, and service responsiveness.
- Provides operational oversight and coordination of service contracts (in partnership with Imaging/Procurement as applicable), ensuring renewals, performance expectations, and issue escalation are managed effectively.
- Supports operational readiness for buildouts, expansions, and new service growth, including workflow design, staffing readiness, go-live planning, throughput modeling, and stabilization support post-launch.
- Scope: All Cardiology Testing/Imaging locations across Chicagoland
- Direct reports: 3 Supervisors
- Indirect leadership: Leads (site/modality leads)

Minimum Education and Experience Required
Licensure, Registration, And/or Certification Preferred
- ARDMS, CNMT, RCS, or equivalent, or
- Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registration (RCIS) issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and IEMA
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or
- Radiologic Technologist with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in an imaging or testing environment, including experience with ECHO, Nuclear (SPECT and/or PET CT), and CT
- Demonstrated success improving throughput and capacity
- Experience managing staffing productivity
- Proven ability to lead quality standardization initiatives
- Experience developing and supporting leaders, including supervisors and leads
- Operational leadership in multi-modality testing/imaging environments
- Strong competency in quality standardization, audit practices, corrective action, and sustainment
- Vendor/service management skills (repairs, uptime, escalation, service contract partnership)
- Data-driven operations: volume, utilization, capacity, productivity; ability to translate metrics into action
- Strong communication and collaboration with physician leadership and enterprise partners
- Proficiency with Excel, scheduling tools, and dashboards
Salary : $99,845 - $149,770
