Position Overview:
We are seeking an Inside Sales Account Coordinator to join our internal Sales team at Duluth Steel Trading. This role has a dual focus. One aspect includes being responsible for providing excellent customer service with attention to detail within our sales software, building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, and communicating with vendors. In addition, this position includes various administrative and financial support tasks such as supporting the company controller to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate accounting necessities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Customer Service: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
· Order Processing & Coordination: Process orders and track deliveries inside company software to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
· Administrative Tasks:
o Maintain and update customer records and order information in the company’s CRM system.
o Prepare and manage sales documentation, orders, processing orders
o Enter production
o Organize and maintain filing systems for sales-related documents, both physical and digital.
· Problem-Solving: Ability to professionally address any customer complaints or issues promptly, ensuring the resolution is in line with company policies and customer satisfaction goals.
· Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the company’s steel products and services, including specifications, pricing, and applications, to effectively communicate with customers and answer their queries.
· Financial Support: Accounts receivable and payable work supporting the company Controller’s invoicing and accounting processes for bookkeeping and bank reconciliation.
· Inventory Tracking: Ability to search, find, cross-check, and account for inventory within the internal software and vendor locations to report for traceability.
Qualifications:
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
· Strong attention to detail is a must.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage inside sales, administrative tasks, and financial support effectively and accurately.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Problem solving skills in all circumstances
Education & Experience:
· 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related role. Experience in the steel or manufacturing industry is a plus.
· 2 year finance degree or equivalent 2 years of finance experience
